Silkie
Silkie's are one of the unique chickens of the poultry kingdom. They are smaller birds weighing from 5-6lbs with feathered legs and downy type feathers. This kind breed started out in China is said to have been first brought to the western world by Marco Polo in the 11th century. They aren't the most numerous layers though, laying 100-120 eggs a year, medium sized, light brown eggs.
