Orpington- Jubliee
As it's name suggest the Jubilee Orpington was for a jubilee anniversary, in fact the anniversary of Queen Vicotria's diamond jubilee in 1897. Thought to be descendants of speckled sussex, buff orpingtons and dorkings. These birds weigh from 10-12 lbs and lay 150-180 cream colored eggs per annum. They have a very distinct array of coloring, white tipped feathers along side a dark brown shaft with a clear black band. Though beautifully colorful it can take up 18 months (after 3rd molt) to see the full color pattern on these wonderful birds.
