Cream legbars are a very utilitarian auto sexing (able to determine male and female at hatch due to different feathering) breed with phenomenal looks. They lay a beautiful blue egg and have been some of my most consistent layers. This pen has an opal legbar rooster over 6 legbar hens and one opal legbar hen. So you can hatch opal legbars from these eggs. The rest of the chicks that hatch will be split to opal, meaning they will carry the lavender gene but will not visually express it.
