Wyandotte- Blue/Black/Splash Red

Wyandotte's began in the 1870 in upstate New York developed from some unknown breeds but they are suspected to be part descendants of silver spangled hamburg and dark brahma. Named after the indian nation they are smaller birds weighing 6-8.5lbs but excellent dual purpose birds, laying around 200 rich brown eggs per year. These good winter layers are a mahogany red color with blue, black, or splash at the tip of the feather.
